Greg joined our team in 2012 after graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biology. Greg leads the charge in quality assurance, research and development, and engineering project management, ensuring our products and machinery are best in the industry.

Erik joined M-Industries in 2012. Since then, he has proven himself time and again as proficient in managing the manufacturing side of our business. His expertise includes everything from managing supply chain and resolving manufacturing challenges in machinery to inventory, to managing multiple shifts on the factory floor.

Kristian has been involved in the family business from the beginning. In between classes and college football at the University of Michigan, he volunteered as night shift supervisor for three years. After working as a subcontractor for a local carpenter for two years, Kristian returned to M-Industries where he quickly advanced to shift lead, overseeing third shift production while gaining useful experience in virtually every area of the production process. In late 2018, Kristian moved to the sales department and is proving himself even more valuable in the front end of the business.

Jack began his career at M-Industries in 2012 after spending two years working for the Institute of Social Research in conjunction with the University of Michigan. He has previously been involved in sales, marketing, and website development at M-Industries and, as North American Sales Manager, is responsible for all North American sales activities and oversees our sales team.

Mike has spent the majority of his sales career in the retail sector, staring out with Best Buy in 1999. After a two-year stint at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, he spent 14 years at Lowe’s Home Improvement, quickly advancing in the company from sales specialist, to department head, and culminating in Service Manager, overseeing entire store operations and employees. While there, Mike won the Million Dollar Sales Specialist Award twice and obtained his Michigan Residential Builder Salesperson License. 
 
Mike joined M-Industries in 2018 and has already made a significant impact on our sales team and the company.

Wim has spent much of his career in the medical industry: from nursing to sales positions in the pharmaceutical, pathology lab, and medical imaging industries. In 2000, Wim exercised his entrepreneurial muscle with a partner by starting ImaXperts, a medical imaging company, and sold the company in 2008 to Sectra AB Sweden. 
 
Wim then left the medical industry to accept a sales position at Performance Systematix, where he met and worked with Karlis to develop their international manufacturing division. From there, he moved to Meyer Seals in business development, and on to  Filcoflex, where he was increased sales in their flexible connector sales in the powder industry by 50% in two years. 
 
With his depth and breadth of experience in packaging, venting, sales, and entrepreneurism, Wim was perfectly suited to become managing director of M-Industries, BV in early 2019 where he has established our sales and manufacturing presence in Europe and beyond.

Karlis began his career with Steelcase Inc. in sales. He quickly advanced through the organization, holding positions of district manager, sales manager, director of organizational development, and VP of sales in the Details division. 

Karlis left Steelcase to join Performance Systematix Inc. as president. During his time there, he led PSI from 16 to 52 employees and to sales growth of over 250%. In addition, he initiated and developed an international manufacturing division in the Netherlands. 

Using his 10 years of industry knowledge, his 30+ years of sales and executive leadership experience, and his earnest passion to understand and help his customers solve their packaging problems, Karlis started M-Industries in 2011. Since then, M-Industries has grown from a small startup to a world-class manufacturer serving customers around the globe.

Director of Innovation and Strategy

Jim has a strong background in management, marketing, sales, distribution, operations, and cross-functional team facilitation. From his start at Bissell Inc., he rose quickly through the ranks of the sales department over 10 years. Then, at Steelcase Inc., he was hired as director of marketing for their Details division. From there, Jim proved his entrepreneurial expertise by leading a startup office furniture company from inception to market, establishing everything from a nationwide distribution network to a transactional website. He then spent six years at X-Rite Corporation, culminating his time there as senior vice president, general manager and corporate officer. He also spent seven years at Alticor, the parent of Amway Corporation as vice president of Alticor Corporate Enterprises, leading a number of outside companies worth $500 million and directing M&A activities for the organization.
 
Jim is now putting his leadership skills to use at M-Industries in strategic planning, business expansion, and product development, as well as human resources and training and development.

Jim Weaver

Integration

Bill started his career in the mid-90s as a machine build electrician at ITM in Lowell, MI. He learned how to wire and program machinery there and used this knowledge in his next job at Belco Industries, where he traveled all over the US, installing and troubleshooting machines. He then spent 11 years at Lacks Industries as senior electrician, becoming familiar with PLCs and eventually becoming maintenance supervisor. From there, Bill spent eight years as senior electrician at Cascade Engineering, doing machine repair for injection molding machines and PLCs. He then became maintenance manager at Steelcraft, where he was responsible for purchasing parts and machines and repairing CNCs, but Bill realized he missed the PLC work. He had just started a great job at Tesa Tape working with PLCs again when we discovered his talents and wooed him away in mid-2019.

As Manufacturing Manager at M-Industries, Bill has easily proven his worth in machine set-up and constant improvements in cycle time, productivity, and efficiency on all our machines. He also supervises all operators and technicians in the plant.
